Center For Career Development (CCD) of School of Business of Uttara University, Bangladesh organized a Workshop on “Microsoft Excel for Bank Job” on 7 December 2016 at the IQAC Seminar Hall of the University for the BBA students who aim to work in Banks, Multinational Companies or other corporate houses. About 67 students from different batches of BBA attended the workshop. The workshop was conducted by an Eminent Corporate Trainer, Mr. Abu Shams Mahmood Arif, Manager of Standard Chartered Bank, Head Office Gulshan-2, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

In this 4 hour-long workshop, the participants learnt advanced techniques for using of Microsoft Excel that is widely used in common corporate software. The students also learnt many aspects of corporate jobs and the skills and qualities require for their future career. The workshop was inaugurated by the Dean of School of Business, Professor Dr. Nazrul Islam. In his speech, Dr Islam said that the students require skills for all the three domains of learning such as, Thinking, Feeling, and Doing and this workshop will help them to develop those skills. He encouraged the students to be involved more and more in such training programs and workshops besides their academic routine which will help them to be skilled for better career. The program was ended by a certificate awarding ceremony where the Dean of School of Business Professor Dr. Nazrul Islam, Chairman of DBA, Professor Dr ASM Shahabuddin, Director of CCD Md. Anisuzzaman, BBA Program Coordinator Md. Mohsin Khudri Asif, coordinator of English Language Club, Md. Touhidur Rahman were present and distributed certificates among the participants.

CCD Director Md. Anisuzzaman moderated the whole event where Md. Alauddin, Additional Director of CCD delivered thanks giving message on behalf of CCD.
